Biodiversity

1. If the local biodiversity is preserved, it will prevent the area nearby from losing species, which in turn prevents the nearby area from losing species.
2. If one habitat is destroyed, other species follow suit. Weather they migrate there, or prey on a species that does, or breed there, some animals may be destroyed, causing a chain reaction.
3. Biodiversity is not only a great tourist attraction (look at Hawaii) but many species can provide medicine, food, or other useful items. Were they to die, we may not be able to survive.
